From November 3 to 10, the International Textile Manufacturers Federation Annual Conference 2023 and  the Sixth World Textile Merchandising Conference 2023 were held in Keqiao, Shaoxing in China’s Zhejiang.

In the morning of Nov 5, the theme meeting of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation Annual Conference 2023 in China's Shaoxing Keqiao and the Sixth World Textile Merchandising Conference 2023 was held.

Sun Ruizhe, Chairman of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation and President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, delivered the keynote speech.

Matteo Renzi, former Prime Minister of Italy and Senator of the Italian Republic, delivered a keynote speech.

Wang Yiming, Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, delivered a keynote speech.

Li Qiang, Deputy Director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a speech.

Shi Qinghong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, delivered a speech.

In the thematic speech session, Zhang Hongxia, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and Chairman of Weiqiao Textile Co., Ltd., as a representative of the industry, delivered a speech titled "Digital Empowerment and Green Development: Contributing to the Construction of a Modern Textile Industry System," sharing views and insights on the company's specific practices and future directions in digital empowerment and green development.

Zhang Hongxia pointed out that in recent years, the group has vigorously implemented the "digital empowerment" strategy, accelerating the deep integration of digital technology and industry, and continuously promoting the optimization and upgrade of industrial and product structures. The group has mainly carried out three aspects of work: firstly, vigorously promoting intelligent upgrades, creating a world-leading full industry chain intelligent matrix; secondly, vigorously promoting innovation in intelligent textile products, improving the efficiency of transformation of results; and thirdly, vigorously promoting digital and intelligent technological innovation.

In the speech, Zhang Hongxia detailed the group's implementation of the "ecological priority" strategy, integrating the concept of green manufacturing throughout the entire process of enterprise production management, and related measures to promote high-quality development through green production and manufacturing. These measures include continuously optimizing the energy structure, vigorously developing the circular economy, and adhering to green and sustainable development.

Zhang Hongxia also participated in the 2023 China Textile Intelligent Manufacturing Conference on Nov 4.
