On October 6th, Song Yongxiang, the Secretary of the Binzhou Municipal Committee and the Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, conducted an in-depth research visit to the Weiqiao National Science and Technology Park (Binzhou) to assess the progress of technological innovation.

Accompanied by Zhang Bo, the Chairman of Weiqiao Pioneering Group, Song Yongxiang received comprehensive briefings on the overall status of the technology park project, the development history of Weiqiao UCAS Research Institute, and the current state of Weiqiao’s technological innovation ecosystem.

During his visit, Song Yongxiang also examined the construction of the Aerospace Center and that of expert apartment buildings. He inquired extensively about aerospace laboratory development, innovation research and development, and the transformation of research outcomes. He emphasized the importance of translating innovation into tangible industrial applications. He encouraged a strategic alignment of innovation with the industrial chain, focusing on deploying the innovation chain around the industrial chain. He stressed the need to base these efforts on the requirements of the city's strong manufacturing sector, intensify efforts in technological research and development, accelerate the transformation of research outcomes from local research institutions in Binzhou, actively attract advanced domestic and foreign research achievements for transformation in Binzhou, and dedicate substantial efforts to deepening expertise in specialized fields. The ultimate goal is to seize the high ground in technological and industrial development.
