On April 27th, the 2023 celebration of the "May Day" International Labor Day and the National May Day Labor Award and the National Worker Pioneer Award was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Weihai Weiqiao Science and Technology Industrial Park was awarded the National May Day Labor Award.

On the morning of April 27, the celebration of the "May Day" International Labor Day and the commendation conference for model worker and exemplary individual in Shandong Province was held in Jinan. Yang Congsen, Chen Debo and Peng Xiaohong were named model worker of Shandong Province in 2023.
